My name is Camelia Ileana Țîrlescu and I am an economist by training, deeply passionate about art, nature, and the subtle forms of balance between them. In recent years, ikebana has become an essential part of my life—an art that blends discipline, aesthetics, and personal reflection.
I discovered ikebana as a way to bring together the rational and the creative. After many years in a pragmatic field, I felt the need to create something that expresses emotion, harmony, and meaning. Ikebana offered me exactly that—a form of order that leaves room for freedom and personal expression.
Each arrangement I create is an exercise in observation and attentiveness: I search for the right proportion, simplicity, and visual calm. Through this process, I’ve learned that details, spaces, and imperfections each carry their own beauty.
Alongside ikebana, I create pressed-flower artworks and pieces made with natural and stabilized materials—decorative frames, floral compositions, and custom designs for homes, offices, and events. Every piece is handcrafted and reflects the same intention: to bring a touch of nature’s beauty into everyday life.
Ikebana has taught me that simplicity can be the most refined form of beauty. It is an ongoing journey that inspires me to create, to learn, and to share what I love with others who are drawn to aesthetics, nature, and meaning.
In February 2025, encouraged by my dear teacher, I began the journey of creating 1,000 ikebana arrangements for peace—one ikebana every day, a soul-driven path where each work becomes a quiet prayer for peace. Every arrangement is accompanied by a poem of my own, an echo of the emotion felt at the moment of creation. All the works can be found on my website in the dedicated section.
In the autumn of 2025, I had the joy of receiving the Gold Award—the highest distinction offered by the Ikebana Gallery Award competition, organized by the International Society of Ikebana Research (ISIR). My work was recognized for its dynamism, delicacy, and expressive composition.
